Creating your NextGen account
To create your account, go to nextgenesports.us and tap Get Started in the top right corner.
You may notice there is no separate register button, and that is on purpose. There is one door for everyone. Your phone number tells the system whether you already have an account or you are brand new, so you do not have to figure out which one you are.
Choose your country code from the dropdown, type your phone number, and tap Continue with phone.
Within a few seconds you will get a text message with a six digit code. Type it in and tap Verify. If the message does not arrive, tap Resend code. If you mistyped your number, tap Change number and start over.
Because this phone number is new to us, you will be asked to create your account. There are four fields, and all four are required: your full name, your email, your date of birth, and your gender.
Take a moment with your date of birth. It is not just a formality. It is what places you in the correct age division when you register for a tournament, so enter it accurately.
Tap Create account. Your profile is created, a default avatar is assigned to you automatically, and you land on your profile page.
One thing to remember: there is no password. You never created one, and you do not need one. Your phone is your key. Every time you come back you will enter your phone number and we will text you a code, the same way you just did.
Where you go next depends on who you are. If you are an athlete signing yourself up, you have an account but you cannot register for a tournament yet. See T2 — Completing your profile so you can compete.
If you are a parent who created this account so you can register your child, see T3 — Parents: adding your child. Your child does not need their own phone or email.
And if you are a coach, you do not sign up as a coach. Your school registers you. Create your account here if you do not have one, and your school owner or an administrator will add you to their coaching roster.
